Ooops, I did it again…

My latest CD purchase from BMG was Sixpence None The Richer’s Greatest Hits collection.

I picked it up because I dug their song “Kiss Me” and their cover of “Their She Goes.” Yeah, I know, go ahead and poke fun, it’s all good.

Anyway, I told my buddy I was listening to it.

He asked me if I bought Stryper, too.

WTF?

Yes, dear readers, I managed to pick up yet another religious album.

I think God is trying to tell me something.

I have no idea what it is yet, but He’s sneaking CDs into my collection.

Now I’m getting paranoid.

  • I want my Jars of Clay cd’s back, punk!!!

  • Oh Holy God. Are they religious, too?

I think I remember you mentioning that.

Please don’t tell me Disturbed is Christian metal.

  • Ace

Sixpence None the Richer is religious?

  • Max

Religious CDs, and religion altogether pussified my Dad.

  • Oh, and Ace:

“Together, this collection of songs chronicles the dedication Sixpence has shown to Briner’s call for believers to “…confidently carry their faith with them into the marketplace so that our very culture feels the difference.” Time and again, from Regis to Leno, the members of Sixpence have found opportunity to speak their faith by simply answering questions about the literary reference that birthed their name.”

The book they mention is of course Mere Christianity by C. S. Lewis.

  • You should look into Pedro the Lion. The only Christian band that I can try to stomach. It gets to be a bit much at times, but he is damn good.

There ya go… I outed myself.

  • I have that book, in case you’re interested in reading it, Stewie. Unless you’ve already snuck in my room and read it when I wasn’t looking.

  • Do you want me to go through your music and pick out the rest of your religious music and ruin it for you?

I’d be more than happy to. 😀

  • I hate you all.

  • Explain all his POD cds to him. lol.

  • Bless you, my child. Welcome to the flock, if thou art ever in Rome stop by the big V and we’ll rock out to Stryper together.

  • You will all rue the day when I become King.

  • YOU BASTARD!!!

I had a list of Christian Rock Bands by my computer that I was going to use to ruin your music collection.

I left it by my computer last night and today while the IT person was working on my computer.

People are going to think *I* like that crap, and it’s ALL YOUR FAULT!!!!

  • That’s His way of saying “don’t fuck with the Lord.”

    Consider yourself lucky.

  • LOL…

I didn’t know they were religious either. Who cares, if you like their music it shouldn’t matter. H8r.
